We used source from Sid to update smplayer on Wheezy and Jessie - in the Jessie
case, because smplayer package was too old to support mpv, and in the Wheezy
case, because smplayer was too old generally.

16.4.0~ds0-1 is for Wheezy, 14.9.0~ds0-1 is for Jessie.
